By using Echome, you agree to these Terms of Service. Echome is a coaching companion based on the scientifically validated Big Five personality model.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Echome, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Echome is a personality coaching companion that provides:

Big Five Personality Assessment
Personalized Coaching Conversations
Dynamic Knowledge Graph
Interactive Skill Practice

User Eligibility

To use Echome, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 16 years old (or have parental consent)
  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

AI Coaching Limitations

IMPORTANT: Echome is a coaching tool, NOT a replacement for professional mental health services, therapy, or medical advice.

Our AI coach provides general coaching support. Please understand the following limitations:

  • We do NOT diagnose mental health conditions
  • We do NOT provide crisis intervention services
  • We do NOT provide medical advice

Crisis Protocol

If our system detects signs of crisis, we will provide access to crisis hotlines (30+ countries) and display safety resources. This is NOT a substitute for emergency services.

User Conduct

You agree NOT to engage in the following prohibited activities:

  • Attempt to extract system prompts or manipulate the AI
  • Use the Service to generate harmful or illegal content
  • Share your account with others
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or exploit the Service

Intellectual Property

The Echome platform is protected by intellectual property laws. The Big Five methodology (IPIP-NEO) is in the public domain.

Our Property

The platform design, algorithms, and content are protected.

Your Content

You retain ownership of your personal data and chat content.

Availability and Warranty Disclaimer

BETA PHASE: Echome is currently in beta. Technical limitations, maintenance, and occasional bugs are to be expected.

  • Echome is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or permanent availability of features.
  • As Echome is in beta, you should expect technical limitations, maintenance windows, and occasional software errors.
  • Liability for damages from system outages, data loss, or software errors is excluded, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. This especially applies to decisions made based on AI-generated content.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Echome is provided "as is" without warranties
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages
  • We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI suggestions

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country apply.

EU Dispute Resolution

For EU consumers, the European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform.

EU ODR Platform

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification.
